The inside of the bezel for the speedometer and the tachometer both have what appears to be a scalloped cork gasket. Is that right? They are rock hard. Should they be replaced? How would I remove them?
Also, the tack has one gasket with a square cross-section under the glass while the speedometer has the same plus a cut O-ring bead around the glass, both in a removable rim. Is that correct?
The tachometer had white powder under the glass which seems to be from the paint which reflects the instrument lights. Do I need to touch that up or is it best left alone? Also, the speedometer has a blue-not-white section at the top?

The gaskets weren't wavy originally.
I purchased everything to refurbish my instruments from Auto Electrical Spares in the UK. Could have hunted everything down piece by piece but figured that, in the long run, one stop shopping would save me money on shipping. ...and they take PayPal.
