Is there any one out there who does Lumenition repairs?

Two of the wires (blue and red) to the optical switch have become severed.... right at the switch.

Suspect they weren't properly secured!

The pickup contains an LED and a photodiode. Total parts cost for the electronics less than £1.00

While I understand low volume = expensive, and that there needs to be a margin in the price for everyone down the distribution chain, £100 seems excessive. A bit more searching on the web can find it available for £130!

Given the labour in scraping out the old potting compound and replacing the active components, the £35 ebay repair deal looks to be a bargain.

Jon Bladen repaired my optical switch very promptly. Highly recommended.
Re fitted and running now.

He also repairs Lumenition Optronic modules.......I binned a faulty one a couple of years ago unfortunately!

He also does thread repairs!

Google Threadfix Jon Bladen
