Hallo!
I do not see any condenser on my brand new distributor 23D.
do I have to wire and external one? where? I do not see any hole where screw the body of the condenser?
do I have to drill the body?
is this condenser built in? ... so I do not need any extra part?
ciao a tutti

Hi Paolo. You only need a condenser if you are using points. It would be screwed to the base plate under the distributor cap next to the points/contact breaker. It is possible you have electronic ignition under the distributor cap and you will not then need points and condenser. Cheers, Lyn

... it seems that there is a built-in condenser somewhere.
I have to check inside but it's not easy, that section is very crowded

just unclip the cap and the condenser if present is visible on the top plate under the cap for the standard distributor

cheers

It's just a short cylinder bolted to the plate at one of its ends and a wire coming out of the other end joining the contact breaker spring on an insulator and the wire to the spade for the coil.

Thank you, Paolo, it's unusual for people to tell us the final result!
