I?ve got a probably very basic question but I?ve learnt that asking these can?t help a great deal!
My handbrake warning light has stopped working
I have looked to see how I would remove the light to replace but it is not clear to me.
I?d be very grateful if someone could advise me as to the best way.
Thanks in advance for any advice

The lamp is just a push fit in the dashboard. You should be able to push it out from the back of the dash. One cause of the bulb not working is that the switch is incorrectly adjusted. You'll find this near the bottom of the handbrake umbrella handle square tube, down by the pedals. It screws into the tube, locked with a locknut. Too far in and it will foul the handle's in/out motion, too far out and the switch won't operate.

You can easily check the bulb (resistance) & switch (voltage) with a meter.

Not forgetting the fact that it's down near the pedals , and if you've got big feet , it's easy to dislodge one of the connectors..
