Dip switch and indicator repeaters

PostPost by: 2tmike » Tue Mar 12, 2019 10:34 am

Hi, does anyone know the threads and sizes used for the small screws holding the dip and main beam switches to the steering column on an S4 and also the nuts retaining the wing mounted indicator repeaters?
Thanks

Here's what I have......
Dip switch to steering column is self tappers directly into the "legs" of the switch - no spire nuts.
Indicator switch to steering column is what looks to be 3BA screws (don't have a thread gauge so can't be 100% sure) tapped directly in to the alloy body of the switch - no nuts.
The side repeaters have self tappers and spire nuts.

Many thanks for that, solves the steering column ones. My Lucas side repeaters have studs though which look somewhere around M4 or 6BA and nuts on the inside of the wing....but as all things with old cars they may not be the original ones !!!

Which way do the switches install? I am assuming wires to the back (down the steering column and the name toward the driver I would prefer to install it correctly the first time

The switches fit with stalks angled upwards so they can be operated without taking your hands off the steering wheel.
