Hello,
In the frame of my LED conversion, I have to change the flasher relays (both indicator and hazard) to electronic ones.

I have the relays and I went to the car last Saturday but could not where in the car these relays are located. And since the original ones do not work with the LED I could not located then by listening to the clicks! Of course I did not have with me the original bulbs and put back in and hear le clicks. I had to drive home with no progress.

Can anyone tell me where these relays are supposed to be? Thank you very much

In my case randomly means far away, because I removed both under-dash panels and looked very hard and long left, right and behind the switches with a powerful flashlight and could find nothing

If an early+2 (RHD) I'd expect to find them above the headlamp vacuum switch, screwed to the back of the dash (RHS). The flasher unit probably more visible. .. if the loom doesn't look too original then could be anywhere I guess... I think I would relocate up behind or under the glovebox if I were to move them. If not you might have to go back to your original idea.

Mines below the two smaller instrument gauges and alongside the right hand window operating switch. Mines a 1967 plus 2 which doesn?t have a hazard flasher, justbthe indicators. Note that the flasher under the bonnet is for flashing the headlights when they come up without the lights being turned on.

In mine the flashers were affixed to the steering column by cable-ties.

Mounted in push fit metal clips. One rectangle one round.

Properly hidden by the ignition barrel unless you remove the under dash trim and the lip trim from the bottom of the dash panel and squeeze youself under the steering wheel upside down with one foot out the door and the other leg dangling over the seat...

Yes indeed. Eventually I found them. In rusted steel clips on the back of the dash in a place nearly impossible to reach. I left them in place, removed the terminals, plugged them to the new electronic relays and everything worked fine.
The new relays are now strapped to the loom somewhere with cable ties
