Oil Pressure Gauge Line Length for LHD S4

PostPost by: bdea » Fri Aug 03, 2018 6:25 pm

Could anyone measure and give me the correct length of the oil pressure line from the 90 degree elbow the block to the gauge itself. Both OEM Plastic Line and -3 Dash Line.

I'm trying to build my own -3 dash line form Pegasus Auto Racing using this parts, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Custom Crimped and Tested Hose Assembly:
Hose Material: 3260-3-INCH, Length: 52 inches
End A: HE045-03P-000 BSP
End B: HE045-03P-090 BSP
Fitting Alignment: 0 degrees

I've looked many postings and some say DB or Rdent may be too short or too long!

Any pics with lengths?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I measure 52" on my original line from my 1969 S4 LHD (original owner).

I did replace this with a braided line. I think from RD or perhaps Bean. RD indicates 4 feet length.

I had no issues with fitting the new line.

Check the attachment at the gauge itself. You should need one of the flat sealing surface types that Pegasus offers. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/produ ... oduct=3268
You will also need a small gasket at the sealing surface. I bought the original leather type from Moss Motors.
