fail safe vacuum solenoid

I've searched back quite a while but can't seem to find a solution to this one.

seems my solenoid valve is beyond repair.

had the shoot bolt type bit out last night and it seems the threaded shaft is snapped and doesn't appear to be anything on the other end. also the rubber t piece bit has ripped.

seems they are like hens teeth so what is the current fix without going down electric lift option?

would any contributors to these older posts be able to provide any update?

lotus-chassis-f36/failsafe-vacuum-headlight-system-t21056.html

lotus-twincam-f39/alternative-vacuum-solenoid-headlights-system-t23448-15.html

I've checked out that website but part number listed is not known and there are literally thousands of parts and combinations!

it would be really helpful for either updated part numbers including recommended filter insert or just a description of what i need to ask them for.

thanks

David

Ginger had a dashboard valve available, but he seems to have sold it for $110

If you cannot get a dashboard valve you are probably best off gettin a vaccum solenoid replacement as mentioned several times on this forum as a part for a Plus 2, and fit an electrical push pull switch in your dash to operate it.

+1 and the replacement ones are better than original with Viton valves.

Try Sue Miller; Miles Wilkins; Kelvedon Lotus; or Paul Matty. If Sue can't help I'm sure she'll point you in the right direction. Jim
