I've chased many leads through the search and have downloaded an S4 diagram which I hope will point me in the right direction but does a +2 version exist? My Workshop manual does not seem to include one so I'm hoping there's one out there.

You need a Lotus +2 Workshop Manuel and all the +2 Wiring Diagrams are at the back

There are at least 4 different diagrams specific to models and year.

In addition, mine also has a very vague component location sheet.

Being a bit of an idiot it didn't occur to me that those blank pages at the end of the electrical section in the manual were folded over and actually diagrams printed over 2 pages.

I blame the manual being immaculate and perfectly folded!

Thanks for all your replies-very helpful.

I assume that a new loom will have the same end connectors as the existing one. Is there an alternative? From memory these were often the cause of poor connections in period.

Once again please forgive my stupidity.

I would not assume a new loom would be the right thing at all

there are so many variants

What problems are you having specifically?

I recently fitted a new loom from Autosparks and it fit perfectly. The only problem was that the multipin connectors between the engine and dash looms at the firewall are nla. The looms had the pins but not the connectors so I had to carefully reuse the old brittle plastic connectors.Just be gentle with them when you remove the old ones. Gary
