Well, old age and fatigue finally caught up with the lens on my map light in the Plus2. The plastic deteriorated to the point that the spring pressure separated the lens from its threaded portion. Looked about but could not find an exact replacement for the lens or the entire unit. Not thinking super glue is the best solution to fix the lens permanently to the housing. Any suggestions?

I use a product called GOOP, a super strong flexible sealant like silicon only stronger. It is also removable. A few small spots of it should do the job for you. Don't use too much.

I use it for many, many things where flexibility and removability are the goal.
