fuel gauge check

Hello again folks
Just a final check on my fuel gauge connections
One connection (green/black tracer) goes to sender unit.
other connection (confusingly- green ) goes to 10v (I) side of smiths voltage regulator.
BUT .....which connection is which on the gauge, does it matter? I would not have thought so, but just to check! :?
Thanks
Bob

It's just a heating wire inside, so as he says it doesn't matter which way the electrons move. :D

And it's slow so it does not matter that the so-called 10volt output of the regulator is actually switching between 0 volts and 12 volts so as to maintain an AVERAGE output voltage of 10 volts.
