Hello folks
I dont understand the voltage regulator connection in the circuit diagram.
Attached is a photograph, the red circled connection confuses me, what is this? I always thought that the regulator provided stability for instruments like the fuel gauge so that readings were consistent? Non of the other instruments require this do they? The only other I can think of which might is the tacho. Could the confusing connection be just this?

Sorry folks
what an idiot I am, I can now see that the red circled connection is raw 12v supply to the tacho, its only the fuel gauge that has a regulated supply. same coloured cable though!!
cheers
Bob

I thought the oil pressure gauge had a stabilised 10V supply also..,,or was it the fuel gauge ?...

Friday night again and a nice bottle of red...

Any slow gauge (with thermal innards) should be fed from a regulator.

i'm looking for stabilised 45 PSI at operating temp 3k rpm! Dont think the voltage regulator will help.

Fuel and coolant i understand have 10v feeds. Otherwise they read high, like mine. Something i need to sort out.

What you need is a high capacity ( not high pressure ) oil pump, with the correct pressure release spring fitted..
