DB10 relay R&R

For those who have the DB10 relay, found on S4 Federal cars, how easy is it to remove and replace?
Is it possible from under the dash? I'm pointing to it in the pic.

I think that picture answers your question Greg!

It's probably the first thing to wire when replacing the dash loom & before the heater vents go back in. It looks a real bitch to get to :-(

Well, I just completed this job. Phil, you're absolutely dead on correct with your assessment.

So, a few tips for anyone needing to do this. Be sure to cut off the top mounting tab on your new
relay. It's not needed and if you have an original in your car, you'll see it was cut off by the factory.

While pulling the wires (can be done by hand while it's mounted) be sure to label each wire with its
corresponding spade number. Undo the two locknuts holding it on (no need to hold the other end
of the bolts in the engine compartment because the bolt is locked in with double nuts) and work it
straight down.

I didn't do this step, but should have: make 4 jumper wires, about 4-5 inches long, with a male spade
on one end and a female on the other, and connect them to spades 5 through 8. Be sure to label the
wires.

Work the relay up behind the loom and wiper mechanism. Don't forget to attach the ground wirel
Put the nuts on and tighten (good luck :) )
Now, connect the wires. You already found you couldn't see blades 5 - 8, hence the jumper wires
for easier access.

If you didn't knock any other wires apart while doing this, you should be good to go :D
