Rear screen connections

PostPost by: Tom D » Tue Mar 29, 2016 10:38 pm

Sorry guys, this must be in the archives but I couldn't find it...

Where would I look to find the wiring where it connects to the rear screen element? Are they at the base of the rear screen, on either side? Both on one side?

Thanks.

Depends which screen you have, mine has the horizontal elements and the connections are either side about mid point and the wires emerge from behind the rear pillar trim

Tom,
I see you have 108N. I have 170N and the rear screen has the horizontal heating traces and spade connectors at the midpoint of the vertical edges just as Robbie describes. Yours is almost certainly the same.

Thanks Russ. I wish I lived in your area, I'd love to see the car. Mine came with lots of mods, so (apart from the great info on this forum) I'm flying blind trying to piece together what actually is correct and what isn't

Tom, don't hesitate to post here or PM me with any questions. I have had 170N since 1977 at which time it was very original. Over time I have become my own DPO, sometimes making modifications which demonstrated that the folks at Lotus had a much better idea of what they were doing than I did!

But I admire you for having the courage to admit that.
