Hi, after a long rebuild, a few electrical gremlins...The loom on my S4 is the original one and hasnt been molested in anyway. However, I bought the car in a completely dismantled stte so have no photos for reference. I just have the standard factory manual S4 wiring diagram . It would be very handy to have some photos of another original S4 loom showing the wiring / connections of all the relays attached on the ns inner wing. Can anyone pkease help?
Thanks, Pete

Here are a few relay sketches that I have found helpful. Plus some layouts that I did for my own clarity. I hope these are helpful to you. (My headlight relays have since crapped-out, but I believe they worked properly after I changed them out years ago. I don't drive in the dark.) At least it's a starting point. Disclaimer: I am no electrician.

Incidentally, when I investigated my S3 headlight wiring last year, I realised that when the car was renovated for me in 1983, they wired the headlight relays in a very illogical manner. They are wired such that the only task the relays do is extinguish the lights when the pods are down.
The full headlight current still flows through the dashboard & column light switches (as in the S1-S2 wiring diagram)
One of these days, I'm gonna redo it all properly. So that the dash/column switches carry only the lesser current needed to operate the relays.

A few more shots showing original fender-mounted relay locations on a Sprint. The sketch is one I likely downloaded previously off of this forum, so thanks to whoever drew it up.
