Un-used wiring connectors

1967 UK version S3. On removal of the side panels I find two double connectors that terminate approximately at shoulder level. They appear to be standard wiring harnesses. Looking at the wiring diagram it appears these might be "courtesy lights." However, this is a DHC. Is it safe to assume there is only one style harness made and it will have these connectors in case it is used in a FHC and they will be controlled by the door open switches?

Thanks,

I think there may also be leads for heated rear window in the loom, also only for FHC. What color are the wires? IIRC the courtesy lamps have purple leads.

They have purple leads and the wiring diagram indicates purple for the courtesy lights. My diagram doesn't show a heated rear window circuit so it must be for the FHC lights. Might use them for a courtesy light in the boot - just open a door. Thanks.

I am in the process of going through a new set of looms for my 69 DHC.

The wire for the rear screen heater (which I also don't have) is black with a white tracer. Shown on an original wiring diagram.

The wiring loom was replace on my car when she was repainted and I have unused connectors everywhere.. If you have a drophead and an electric aerial (!!) the rear screen heater wires are ideal to use for the radio to electric aerial connection :D
