Dash wiring loom S4 vs Sprint

I'm in the middle of wiring the dash of a 1969 Elan S4 that has some features of a 71 Sprint. The PO combined an S4 with parts from a Sprint and the various parts used are a bit fuzzy. I'm considering purchasing a new dash loom to eliminate some "custom wiring" that isn't color coded correctly or connected to the right circuits.
The question is, what is the difference between an S4 dash loom and a Sprint dash loom? I have a dash that has the three warning lights for hazard lights, brake fluid light and parking brake light. I also have the micro switch under the headlight vacuum control for fail safe lighting.
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated!

Having done both, the only difference I can recall (and this was in the mid90's) was that there was no dash loom that took into account the logic box for the turn signals in a Sprint. I had to convert mine to a 3 wire system. Dont know if that has changed. I recall that was the only difference.

I don't think that UK Sprints had all those warning lights. Do not expect any off the shelf wiring looms to exactly fit your car 40 years on. Even back then the wiring diagrams were ambiguous.
Cheers,
Pete.

Glen, your loom seems to share a lot of features with federal sprint... It has 3x warning lights, rb10 relay box with red tail lights, federal failsafe headlights, sovy.... It's missing seat belt warning lights...

As far as I know fitted to all Federal Elan and +2S variants, known at the time as the "Lucas Tin God". I was able to duplicate its function with two diodes.

I have had a 71 coupe, 71dhc, 66, dhc, worked extensively on 66 Coupe and the 72 Sprint. I am probably forgetting a few. Only car that had the logic box was the Sprint. To be fair the Sprint was technically the only car that came in under the new early70 Federal rules. All the rest were properly imported lhd cars however.
