As I intimated on the other thread you really need better pictures, try using a macro setting and in good daylight without flash. If I had to put money on it and on the pictures as posted I'd say they aren't correct, sorry.

I'll try and add some side by side pictures of a correct and incorrect lens - I'll be back (as someone said...)

Close up aftermarket lens on the left and correct Sparto lens on the right. The way to tell the difference is the incorrect lens has a definite ridge all the way along the centre of the top. The correct lens has a definite 'flattened' ends and you can sort of make out 4 smooth curves on the top which make the shape of an elongated X.

The incorrect lens has a slight peak in the middle which I hope clearly shows in the photo.

Finally a close up of a Sparto. You can make out one of the soft curve ridges in the reflection - these are repeated on each corner. Hope this all makes sense.

I hope this clarifies matters.

Still have perfect reproduction lenses available!

Sandy your post 2 posts up. Your bases and lenses look like the ones on the left of my first photo - I'm sure I can see a ridge/peak in the centre. Run your finger across them if you can feel a ridge they're wrong.
