Interesting picture thanks for posting them. I think i would also fit the cranked on the left if that was my car.

Will have to take a look at what is on my car. They have been pointing skywards for some time but as I get within slight of getting it on the road I should fit my new blades (13").

To me it seems to be typical Lotus where the wiper park side and arms used were one of those things that was decided by what happened to be in the parts bin when the car was put together rather than there being any definitive correct/incorrect setup.

My car has just returned home and so I can now post a photo of how they park. The sweep doesn't come as low as this when working.

Another car where the wipers park on the left. My car, 50/1542 from 1969, must be in a minority with its right parking wipers.

Are either of your arms cranked?

I guess shorter wiper blades allow blades on straight arms to be parked closer to the bottom of the screen.

Both arms are identical and cranked at I think 10 degrees, the arms are set at a slightly different lengths which is made possible by the use of adjustable length items and allows you to reduce the overhang where the screen wraps around at the edge. The left hand wiper arm is set slightly shorter.
I actually had this setup working with 14 inch blades but never fully solved the problem of an unswept zone in the middle of the blade.
The wipers can be parked as in the picture but on a standard system you may end up with the blade hitting the rubber when it rains hard and the wipers start speeding up due to reduced friction. A feature of the 29w motor is that it moves the wipers lower down the screen than it does during the operating sweep as part of the parking sequence.

The wiper arms just don't look right however they're fitted.

Absolutely!

It has always been a contentious subject but I think that a right hand car ought to park on the left.

If it were me I would park on the left and with two cranked arms so that when parked the wipers sit parallel to the rubber.

It certainly worked for me on my Elan but, yes, you might get an unwiped portion on a +2.

None are ideal because of the screen curvature....
