Identify item

Car is a 72+2s Federal.

On the upper brake booster is mounted some relay or module. Need help identifying it

Suspect it's related to the dealer fitted AC. Looks like fairily high current cabling but only two connections I can see so not a relay.

Not aware of any high current wiring in that area in standard loom. So probably regulator or resistor. Where do the cables run? I'd guess the red one connects the main alternator feed, where does the other one go?

That's the Motorola alternator that should have a regulator that's probably mounted on top of the pedal box, which may take the wire from your unit you're showing, which may just be a circuit breaker. Mine has all the rest of that for the AC but not that breaker if that's what it is. Gordon Sauer

Everything in the photo looks very much like my 1971 +2S when it still had the Lotus East air conditioning system installed. However I doubt that the device on the servo mounting bracket is part of the air conditioning system. I suspect it is a ballast resistor used in conjunction with a low voltage (9V) primary ignition coil. Check to see if one of the leads coils directly to the + terminal on the ignition coil.
