Has anyone had success getting a capillary tube and bulb replaced on a combination gauge here in the states, and who did you use?

Yes, a couple of years go.

Nisonger in Mamaroneck, NY. Fitted a new bulb and capillary for me. And you can ask for a capillary of the right length. My original one was far too long, so I had them fit a 5' one (if I remember right). They turned it around in a couple of weeks. Highly recommended.

I still have the invoice: $173.84 + $18.10 shipping

I've not used them before but will next time I have a need. Not too happy with the last Nisonger repairs done.

Thanks for the suggestions. It was a bit concerning to see the temp gauge going down as I was climbing slight grade and the outside temperature was in the high 90's. The capillary separated at the bulb.

I rather like the idea of having a shorter length.
