Starter motor - Made in India

The replacement starter motor I bought off Ebay has "made in India" marked on it. Has anyone experience of motors from foreign manufacturers as regards build quality and reliability?

My replacement Lucas control box (voltage regulator) came in a box that said "Made in India" on the bottom.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

I've had a "made in India" starter and Dynamo in my Frogeye for the past few years. Starter spins the engine faster than the old Lucas one. Dynamo seems to charge battery at lower revs than the old Lucas one. I'm happy with both.
