Hello,

I?m trying to wire my S4 dashboard but I don?t understand much about electrics...

With the help of "Elan modified wiring diagram", I don?t known how to wire the switches... when you have the wiper switch, for example, is this the correct position (seeing the dashboard form behind)?

Since no-one has tried to help you, and I have just been rewiring my Sprint, I'll have a go. Looking at the back of the wiper switch you see four terminals Let's number them like this:
Top left - 1
Top right - 2
Bottom left - 3
Bottom right - 4

There are five terminals on the wiper motor. One is the earth and should have a black wire. The others connect up like this:

White/ Light Green - this is the power feed from the motor to the switch and goes on number 1.
Brown/Light Green - this is for the high speed to the motor and goes on number 2.
Red/Light Green - provides power for the wipers to park and goes on number 3.
Blue/Light Green - is for the low speed to the motor and goes on number 4.

That works on my car. I hope it helps.

Mike

Hi

I had to work out how the two speed wiper motor worked and have attached a couple of sketches I made.
there are two possible switches that I have found -- both should work but you made need a multimter to check which terminals connect to what on yours. My car is a +2S130 but I think it is the same arrangement on the Elans

Hope this helps

best of luck

Bob
