FYI, for those considering changing to an electric washer activation:
Just found a momentary (normally off) switch with the right thread and size to replace the washer pump bellows that connects to the wiper switch. I can now press the wiper knob for water and the electric washer pump runs.
This has the added benefit of being in my local hardware store (Lowes)
