Has anyone tried to blacken dashboard rocker switches? Mine have gone rather milky looking. Is this possible? They work fine so I would rather not replace them.

This has been discussed a few times in the past - lots of different ideas. Here's one previous thread on the subject - a search will probably bring up several others.

Here's my latest trick having tried all the armor all, brake fluid and other non destructive (apparently) fixes.
Coat with Castrol LM grease or similar leave overnight and then wipe off. I did this early November ready for the NEC and they still look like new 4 weeks later unlike the other fixes that wear off in a couple of weeks.
The spray paint for plastics mentioned on this thread is a good more permanent fix, but time consuming no doubt. Still those winter evenings are with us now, so a good project for a dry warm garage.
