looking at the loom it would be simple to change.
Lotus tidied the bullet connectors so to make a neat job it will need a couple of new connectors.
It just needs the switch re-soldering as you have shown and a couple of leads about a foot long from the indicator bullet that you unplugged above, to the switch
Helpfully both wires from the switch are Green and they have the wiring to the switch and the bulb the wrong way round!
