Remove Lighter Socket

Been trying to get the lighter socket out as it has become very corroded inside. Can't find an easy way to get it out. Any directions much appreciated!!

I took my lighter socket out a couple of days ago.

It's best to disconnect the wiring and then shove your thumb in the socket and unscrew the socket from the part behind the dash.

If it's rusty give it a spray with WD40.

Mind you if you have a different type of lighter....

I had the same problem. As Steve said above, spray with releasing oil, like WD40.
