indicator and hazard relays

Hi all,

I think I have toasted the above during the re wire

They are the old fashioned ally 'can' types - 1 with 2 pins and 1 with 3 pins.

Where can I obtain some new ones? Are there any modern equivalents which will do the same job?

Cheers

Jon

Thanks Roger, lots of choices!

This got me doing a bit of an internet trawl and lead me to a Triumph Stag site. A guy on there was suggesting there is a single electronic modern relay which does both hazard and indicator functions. Does anyone know about whether this is a possible conversion on a +2?

Cheers

Jon

RogerFrench Posted this topic on the ganged DB10 relay a year and a half ago. This is what I plan on with the stop, brake and directional lamps on the Sow's Ear Elan. So far I have only the wiring done, I don't believe that the wiring needs to be changed other than inside the passenger compartment. This looks to be a very nice solution to the limited rear lamp visibility that the early Elans (type 26, 36 and 45) suffer from and may prevent others from using you as a bump stop while slowing, stopped or turning.

Thanks guys,

I've taken the line of least resistance and bought direct replacements from Sue Miller.

Sounds like you have a solution, but in answer to your question I used one of the combined relays during my re-wire. I required three additional block type relays to replace the functionality of the modern hazard toggle switch that is used in a modern circuit. I did it this way so I could use the stock dash switch. So in my case it all works, but is not a simple retrofit. As I had the dash out and was replacing the wiring completely with relays for other stuff it seemed the way to go.
