Indicator Arm

PostPost by: ken ob » Thu Jul 28, 2011 8:33 pm

Hi, it looks like i need a complete new indicator arm for my 65 S2 Elan.
The copper contact parts have worn away. It has Lucas 125 SA and 34828B stamped on it. Is this the same as Triumph Herald or Spitfire? The arm on mine is 6 inches long with a slight curve down then an upward curve.

many thanks, Ken.
Slightly confused by everything since the invention of the wheel.

Hi Ken,

I'm pretty sure you need the Spitfire item, have a look at Rimmer Brothers http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID005829 this item http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-158966

SJ Sportscars list the indicator switch (with stalk) http://www.sjsportscars.co.uk/index.php?mod=10 there is a photo of the item as well which looks to be the same as the one shown for the spitfire....... I'm sure all the usual suspects will stock this item.

Regards
Kindest regards

Yep, all the early Triumphs. Spit, Herald Vitesse etc. Same column, cowls and switch gear except for the mod' on the lighting switch so that it becomes two position

There are some reproduction items for sale which are very poor quality. Try to get an original one.
