You really should use the Cibie Biode as there was, and (arguably) still is, no better 7-inch headlamp; check out my items 140473548447 (pair) and 140471378881 (one-spare) currently on eBay. The pair of Biodes listed have just been taken out of my Elan. I can advise on wiring, fitting of suitable (33RA) relays and provide wiring diagrams of the arrangement I've been using since 1975.

All three-Biodes sold, the pair were only on eBay for 10-hours and the buyer paid asking price.

I tried for ages to buy a set of those back in the 70's but had to settle for Z beams. Too expensive for me now sadly.
