Lights on warning buzzer?

Or you could simply rewire the lights so they get power only when the ignition is on.

If I remember correctly with the UK spec the original micro switch cut the power to the headlight relay when the lights were lowered. This was to make sure that you couldn't leave the lights on when they were lowered. This would not of course work for the failsafe system.

Would only work for the headlights not the side lights.
Wiring a simple 12V buzzer from the lighting circuit via the door switch does the trick.
