PM have reproduction +2 rear lenses for (iirc) about $300. Or maybe ?300. It's funny how the exchange rate, as huge as it is, becomes a lesser factor when the price becomes astronomical.
ALl that's wrong with my old lens is the clear reverse light bit is broken (and gone). Are there ways to fix this?
Luckily, in my case, I found a brand-new spare (base and lens) languishing at a dealers and made it part of another deal. But I still have what could be a very valuable old one.

I'll take 50 of each side at that price.
Are you guys talking about the same thing? last time I looked they were about 135 GBP each plus tax.
Cheers,
Pete.

I was bidding on that grille, Peter, as I need one for my S2 project. I thought that I'd be generous with a bid of ?30...after all, Paul Matty / Sue Miller sell them for ?35!! They are not quite the same though...originality certainly has a high price in some areas.
I think that my S4 will receive a new not-quite-right grille, donating its original to the S2 cause.
Back to those S2 / S3 lights...they haven't been available for as long as I've had my S3..and that's 1975. I had to find a Vauxhall Victor in a scrapyard to replace one of mine back then. But I found a really good pair on eBay for my S2 a few months ago for ?80 or so. There is often a new-old-stock pair at Stoneleigh Parts meet, and the price tag is heading towards ?400...probably a bit more now.

Its usually the chrome that corrodes neccesitating replacement. Is there not somewhere to get the originals reliably refurbished at this price level?
The seal also do not age well either- on the S4 the black rubber gasket is available but what about the inner seal-lens to tailight body-is this available seperately?
