New halogen lhd lights...to be installed

They arrived today. Any advice on How to install them?!

I guess they just screw in....

Any pointers on where you got them from. I expect my rhd car still has rhd lights do will need to do something about it before getting it on the road.
'73 +2 130/5 RHD, now on the road and very slowly rolling though a "restoration"

Um, aren't sealed beams still available from most any auto parts supplier? UAP, NAPA etc I would think either have them on the shelf or can get them.

Found on ebay... Listed as lights for canada or usa

The easiest way to install them is to use the existing buckets and unscrew the retaining ring and swap out the headlights. Otherwise, the buckets themselves screw into the fiberglass pods so a swap of the whole unit can be done.

When I start the engine and raise the light pods, they stay up. But if I turn the engine off after a little while they begin to drop...

I will have to work fast or someone to fire the engine every 5 minutes... :mrgreen:

What you call bucket is the black rear pod on my pictutre?

Ok gizz, i did as you said. I kept my old buckets.
They were a bit rusty in the bottom... But i guess i can live with it

Well done!

Chaning to Halogen lights (and 'relaying' them) was one of the best 'upgrades' I've made to my car.

The lights are definitely brighter (I actually find the better than our moder car!).

Adding relays made them much more reliable too :)

I did changed the wires for Cliveyboy twin fan as two fans does suck more electricity tan the oem one. For the Halogen I did not touch the wiring...
