How difficult can this be???? When I stripped my car back in 1974 or something like that (cant remember exact date since its been work in progress for approx 40 years) I bought a wiring loom from PMSC. Now, I made the naive assumption that the wiring loom on all UK sprints was identical.....Having explored this site I am now feeling far less confident of this. I've just opened the wiring loom storage box and revealed this spanking new grey plastic wrapped wiring loom all looks pristine and shiny, but I know its waiting to bite!
I share all of this because for-warned is for-armed and I thought that some of you chaps may have tackled this and have some sage advice.
I await your deliberations Miluds!

Its not clear (to me) what your question actually is but looms do vary.
I have found differences between two looms from the same supplier and also one from a different supplier had differences relative to the paper wiring diagram that came with it. Even the Lotus manual wiring diagrams are only really a (good) guide so a bit of detective work might be needed.
None of these things stop the show, but it might mean you have a few minor problems to sort out.

The new front end loom I have has a lucas bullet interface with the cockpit loom whereas the cockpit loom has a twelve way plug. So, I have now removed the plug and substituted lucas bullets. The looms look to match up in connection so far. I am assuming that the joint between the two looms occurs inside the car just aft of the bulkhead.
Where does the loom run to the rear end? Nearside or offside? Through the sill?
I have also got in my wiring box two items that look like in line fuses. They are black plastic about 14mm dia and 5cm long, definately not fuse holders (they dont come apart) they utilise fabric covered wire terminated with lucas bullets. Overall, wire included they are abot 12cm long. Any ideas anyone? My own thoughts are RFChokes, but where in the loom do they go? Has anyone come across these in the wiring loom on the Sprint?
