Voltage regulator

Greetings,
I need to adjust the charging voltage on my S1. I have read the workshop manual and it seems rather straight-forward. However, on my car the regulator (control box) is mounted on the bulkhead with the connectors facing upwards so I can't reach the adjustment screw without removing the whole regulator unit. Is this correct or is mine mounted upside down? Can I remove the mounting screws without risk of losing any nuts behind the dashboard?

Hi yes removal is straightforward, there are two bolts which hold the regulator to the bulkhead and if you stand with the door open you can have one hand operating the bolt and the other on the nut ( at least on the S3 so I guess its very similar). It is correctly mounted.
However do check that the contacts are clean before adjusting anything - they move and spark and a little cleaning may be all they require.
