Oil Pressure Warning Light

PostPost by: bigvalvehead » Wed Oct 03, 2007 7:22 pm

Hi All
Does anybody know the origin of the oil pressure warning light as fitted to Lotus 47 and Elan 26r as well as the Lotus 30 and 40.
If anyone has one or knows what they were originally fitted to please contact me
Regards
Dave Hughes.

Somewhat looks like the licence plate lights on my Elite, there are 2, however with white glass lens, looking at the picture on the post they may be the same size perhaps with the half chrome cover?

Not sure I have seen a lens other than White?

They were manufactured by an auto accessory company as after market indicators; the same company also made parking lights of the same design in red and white (the lenses are in two parts), they turn up on eBay from time to time. I don't think the name of the manufacturer is anywhere on the unit.
