QED list four options for a ring gear - Standard, Large OD, MEA and Hewland.
Out of interest, what exactly is a 'Large OD' one..?

I can't answer your questions about QED ring gears however earlier this year I bought a 110 tooth ring gear from SJS and I don't think they had any size options. It was just a standard ring gear which fitted absolutely fine. At £40 I didn't think it expensive.
I heated it with oxy-acetylene for a minute or so and it dropped on a standard twincam flywheel just perfectly.

Probably not what QED is referring but there are two sizes of 110 tooth ring gears both for inertia starter, a 10.048 and a 10.167 inch ID.

I acquired a smaller one by chance. I noticed it was too small for any of the spare twin cam flywheels I had lying around. It fitted a friends crossflow flywheel perfectly!! Maybe significant.?

Measure the diameter at the step where the ring gear fits on the flywheel.

Yep - logical suggestion! I should have said that I do not physically have the flywheel, and typically not getting a response from QED…

I pulled mine out and it measures 10.048, so that's one data point. Best of luck to you.

Thanks! This ties in with what Lyn above says.
Still no reply from QED, so I will order their “standard” one and hope for the best.
