Before I do something untoward, does anyone have experience with this procedure, tips/hints appreciated! The left side definitely needs attention so I'll do both sides before the body goes back on the chassis for painting.

Just a thought, if anyone here in the States has a rear hub puller I'd appreciate borrowing it as I suspect I'll only use it one time, I see Kelvedon does sell one.

I'd be happy to loan you the pair i made over 35 years ago, but they are for the standard rear hubs, which I think are 10 TPI thread , while the 26R hubs are 8 tpi. I haven't taken my 26R apart yet, so I'm not sure how the tool will have to work, but I also don't have access to the lathe I used back then, so maybe I'll have to buy a pair from Kelvedon.

I do know the 26R ser 2 rear hubs do not have the tapered stub axle/ hub interface, so I'm wondering if a hub puller is actually required. I have a single spare hub/stub axle and it is so different, more like a racing part.

no puller is required as you release it from the outer UJ joint.

Cheers
