Once you have worked out which side it comes out through the rest is easy. At least you don't have to hold up whilst bolting it in, Colin thoughtfully provided a shelf for it to rest on :-)

Hi
When fitting the Important thing is that the nose of the diff goes in last.

Malcolm,
I did mine earlier this year. I fixed up a plywood ramp to line up flush with top surface of the chassis plate. Then with a rope tied to the diff. and round something at the other side, back to me and once round the axle stand, I could move it into position little by little and take up the slack on the rope to hold it.
This meant that I could do it single handed without lifting and take my time.
It's the way the Egyptians did things, but without the team of horses.

Well, a bit of muscle provided by my daughter's fianc?, a small trim of metal off the underside of the diff nose and the flange and it slotted virtually straight in. :D
