Weird transmission

In my search for an alloy bellhousing somebody has sent me this photo of a transmission which may have a usable bellhousing but I cannot identify the transmission--any suggestions?:

Could be a Ford type 9 variant.

+1 for the Ford t-9. I have one in the shop, and it certainly looks the same.

Interesting flex coupling adaptor on the output shaft.

If it is a T-9, the top two bell housing bolt holes will likely be about 2" higher than a twin cam. Other bolt holes should line up. T-9's were generally fitted to 2.0 and 2.3L Ford motors, hence the difference.

Sierra, Type9 , the output shaft should/could have a Doughnut fitted...

Thanks for the responses. It is a fairly rare transmission 'over here'. The owner, a long time racer, died recently and left a barn full of odd bits.
