Ford 2000E gearbox roller bearings

20 years ago I rebuilt my gearbox and at the time I installed input and mainshaft roller bearings heavier duty than standard - i.e containing more balls than the original but still single row. They were German FAG bearings. FAG were able to offer the same bearing size in both standard and heavy duty specification and I chose the heavy duty type.
I now wish to put this gearbox back into service. When I last used the gearbox 20 years ago it was only in the car for a week after rebuild before the car it was in was unfortunately written off through no fault of my own. It worked well for a week but not enough time to ascertain whether these bearings were a good long term choice or not.
My concern now older and wiser is that like most thing in engineering you don't get something for nothing and with bearings the trade off is load rating versus speed rating - i.e higher the load rating the less the speed rating because of increased friction. The engine I am planning to put this gearbox behind has much higher RPM potential than standard.
So my question is - does anyone have any experience of heavier duty bearings in the 2000E box? Does anyone have the dimensions or type designation of the standard bearings (i.e bearing code stamped in the outer ring)?
I don't have any bearings on hand at the moment that I can check and I don't want to have to pull the gearbox apart unless I have to. Even with the codes of the standard bearings I may be able to contact FAG to find out exactly what the heavier duty version bearings are and their ratings.
I remember the heavier duty bearings had a notch in the side of one or both bearing races presumably to help with the insertion of more balls during manufacture.
