clutch release problem

I recently had a leaky clutch slave cylinder. I replaced the slave and the master cylinder. Bled the system. Adjusted the freeplay to spec. The pedal feels great I am getting 1.5 cm travel from the slave cylinder - But my clutch will not release. WHAT gives.

How much travel am I supposed to get?

How long was the car laid up for? It could be the drive plate seized to the flywheel.
Easy to remedy but most methods not for the faint hearted!

I was driving it last week. Noticed the puddle of hydraulic fluid and replaced the cylinders. Now the clutch won't release.......

FIXED. The pressure plate was stuck. I unstuck it. Wouldn't of expected a stuck pressure plate after sitting for only a couple of days.

Weird.

See Brian Bucklands manual - it goes into measurements needed comprehensively - unless it is just a jammed plate.

no I wouldn't have expected a stuck plate after such a short break....I would suspect maybe a leak from rear crankshaft oil seal which can soften and stick the plate friction material......
