Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I recently purchased a Plus 2 that came with with several boxes of new and used spares. I have been able to identify everything except the one item in the photos attached. It has a part number tag with something like E026A0002, though the last 0 could be a 6? I don't think it is related to my 1973 plus 2, but don't recognise it as an Elan part either. Suggestions or definite answers much appreciated!

That makes sense, the original 5 speed box was supplied with the car, but it's currently fitted with a 4 speed.
