5 speed gearbox question

Hi

Are the internals the same in all 5 speed gearbox? I have hear there are a late version and an early version with some differences. Someone knows in what gearbox production number were the changes?

I understand there are some differences, and possible upgrades to do from the early version to to late version (including a "thin" input shaft ball bearing for a stronger one with a ring, cf. the Hollnagel paper http://gglotus.org/ggtech/elan-5spd/elan5spd.pdf)

Graham Boulton ( in Dereham 441362694367 ?) is the man one can to talk to for a definite answer : some purportedly Lotus specialists are not so aware when it comes to the lotus 5 speed gearbox unfortunately...
