Miller CV Shafts

Thanks.
OK, so remove driveshaft and refit outer end first, and there is enough room to engage the inner studs on the diff shafts, with the suspension in the droop limited position?

Hi there

The easiest way I found to fit the drive shafts on my Plus 2 was to undo the 8 off cap screws the split the aluminium adaptors from the CV joints. Fit the inner and outer aluminium adaptors to the diff flange and hub flange first then reinstall the drive shafts. They should go in easy this way as its only necessary to compress the shafts about 1/8" just to get them into the recesses in the adaptor plates. Just take care to avoid getting dirt into the exposed CV joins when the shafts are apart

Ok success, RHS fitted. To be clear this is on an S3 rather than Plus 2. With outer end driveshaft studs engaged first, with droop limited dampers there is still (just) insufficient room to engage inner studs, so it is necessary to have the outer wishbone fixings removed to give sufficient lateral room to finally engage the inner driveshaft studs.
Answered my own question!
Thanks to all for advice.

Well 1 month and 500 miles on these new driveshafts, they certainly made a big difference in the drivetrain and my confidence :D
Now to get underneath again and check the torque on the CV adapter fittings.
