Differential Stiifening bracket

Hello
I've been seaching the archives trying to find a picture of the bracket on the car as I've been given :D a new bracket by an ex forum member and want to confirm exactly where its fitted
Can anyone help?
I assume the brace is positioned like an "r" - vertical flat goes towards the back of the car and the horizontal flat goes directly on top of the diff. Then one washer above, then the mounting ....is this all correct?

Thanks
Terry

Salut Terry

The bracket looks like this:

and in place looks like this:

You'll need a longer bolt to go through the brace to the diff casing. Said elsewhere it's a good idea to dip it in silicone to avoid leaks. You've probably got the workshop manual (page below) so you know you have to omit one or possibly both large washers to position the diff in the same place as before.

This is covered in detail in the workshop manual.
