hi guys, a question for you knowledgable fellows out there, i have just put the diff in the chassis with correct washers for the diff brace etc but the diff flange does not seem to line up with the chassis tunnel, i have offered up the propshaft to the flange and it seems to clear the tunnel ok, but it is at an angle, is this ok? the diff torque rods are on the right side and all diff mounts are new, am i missing something? ian.

Sounds fine. UJs must never be straight but always at an angle otherwise the needle rollers work their way out of their housings.

If the diff flange looks vertical, the diff body doesn't touch the chassis and neither does the propshaft when attached then you have a perfect installation.

The diff flange is offset from the centerline so that the driveshafts are equal.

As Meg says make sure that the diff body clears the chassis above and below.

Also make sure that it abutts the frustacones squarely and the bolts are tightened correctly.
