Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I recently purchased a reverse light switch that was advertised as suitable for 2000E gearboxes. It wasn't suitable for mine, thread was UNC and too big. Am I right in assuming that the gearbox has 2 different types of reverse switch? Has anyone got for sale the smaller UNF variant I am looking for?

Elanfactory do one at AU$27 + AU$5 postage. Looks exactly the same as the mini/spitfire one I've also ordered from eBay.

Looks like I made another mistake with the reverse switch. Do you know the size and thread (UNC I suppose) ?

If you search 'classic mini reverse switch' on eBay UK you'll get the same switch with a number of different threads.
