Gearbox resilient Mount

I just noticed that the (top) front and back on these are not the same. The metal part that fastens to the gearbox. One part is higher by about 1/4 inch. Is there a right and wrong way to fit? This must be by design. Is this to stiffen in one direction more than the other.

Too subtle for anybody to notice the difference then. I guess the high side goes to front as braking force must be greater than accel'. Engine weight must flex the engine mounts and the gearbox mount? Mike

Brain thanks for taking the time to show us with the photos. Appreciated. I have checked both the new one and the old and neither have any form of direction marking. Looks like there is some reason and not the one I thought.
Thanks for the response Peter.

I thought it will only go on one way? when i was weighing mine up i noticed if it was the wrong way round the gear box V didn't touch the bottom of the V in the mount.. Was a while ago but i seem to remember it fouled the bottom of the gearbox the wrong way round.
That said i have two new mounts i bought a few years ago from Paul Matty that are the same on both sides.
