Clutch pedal travel on S3 elan

Hi all,

just a quick question,

Can anyone give some guidance as to how much travel i should expect on a new clutch in my Elan?

when operating the clutch pedal the slave cylinder seems to have some travel, is this correct?

Set the pushrod to the clearance spec given in the manual.

On my S3 rebuild, I set it as shown in the diagram in the manual and there was too much travel.

So I set the clearance to the spec. Ignoring the diagram and it works fine - I don't think they meant the datum that they drew!
